Tabea is a Berliner who moved to Hamburg with her husband and two daughters in 2013. Since childhood making music has been a passion. She joined various singing groups and as a teenager was already performing on stages across Berlin.  Her training included a classical voice education as well as guitar and piano lessons at a private music school.

Having lived in London for a few years, Tabea returned to Berlin where she and her young daughter enjoyed classes at Little Music Makers for nearly four years. From the start Tabea was enthused and impressed by their refreshing approach to music and what is an innovative educational concept. After moving to Hamburg Tabea was disappointed to find that there were no equivalent classes; so she decided to bring Little Music Makers to the city.  As she has trained for and received the Little Music Makers' teaching license, Tabea is now delighted to offer Little Music Makers classes in Hamburg since September 2015.

Cathy Highton-Sim was born and raised in New Zealand, and lived in Oxford, UK for 3 years. In early 2018, she moved to Hamburg with her husband to pursue new opportunities in music. Cathy has a degree in German, music & linguistics, as well as a graduate diploma in teaching.

A classically trained soprano, Cathy has performed on stage with sinfonia in New Zealand, and has competed in aria competitions and music festivals both back home and in the UK. Her passion for education and for sharing her joy of music has led Cathy to vocal coaching roles in school-based musical theatre and private classical voice tuition for children and adults alike.

Cathy loves to see people engage with music and thrives on the joy that children share with others when they sing, dance and play. In her classes she loves sharing this joy!
